What you'll accomplish

By the end of this guide, you'll have a complete, print-ready standard operating procedure or new hire training manual for a process on your floor — a document that would normally take 4–8 hours to write, done in under an hour. You'll also have a repeatable method for creating every SOP and training document you've been putting off.

What you'll need

  • Free Claude account at claude.ai
  • 10–15 minutes to describe the process you want to document
  • The specific equipment names, temperatures, settings, and quality checkpoints for your process
  • Time needed: 45-60 minutes total (10 min describing the process + 10 min Claude writes it + 20 min reviewing and editing)
  • Cost: Free
